… ain’t that easy using that thing called Internet. We’ll arrive on 23 April 2010 in Honolulu and already booked one night in the Ohana Honolulu Airport Hotel. We would like to proceed on 24 April morning to Lihue. So we tried to book our first interisland flight from Honolulu (Oahu, HNL) to Lihue (Kauai, LIH) on 24 April 2010. But…
So these are the airlines I could find via that thing called Internet. Do you know other airlines? What about Mokulele Airlines?
Any locals reading this post who could give me some advice for a German who wants to book interisland flights via Internet?
Is there a one month interisland flat rate?
We started our Trip to Paradise on the island of Kaua’i (actually we had a one night stop at Ohana Airport Hotel, Honolulu). After we had arrived on Kaua’i on 4/24/10 our first stop was at Ahukini State Recreational Pier:
Ahukini Pier is situated at mouth of the Hanamaulu Stream. It consists of a cement pier with a wooden walkway located where the stream meets the Pacific Ocean.
Ahukini Pier is an excellent place for pole fishing and crab netting. The site also offers opportunities for viewing the scenery of Hanama’ulu Bay. Hanama’ulu Bay is a State Fishery Management Area (FMA) and therefore strict regulations on spear fishing and net fishing apply to the area.
We enjoyed some wonderful moments before we continued to Kapa’a. And, of course, I took some pictures :-)
The pier is only some few minutes away from Lihue Airport. The exact location is on the Flickr map.
We will post additional articles with information on our trip and pictures on an unregular frequency so stay tuned…

On April 26, 2010 we went to the farmers’ market at Kukui Grove Center, Lihue. The market ain’t a very big one but you get a lot of local ono stuff - and there are almost locals only :-)
If you want to go to a farmers’ market in Hawaii - and you should do that at least once in a week - you may download some of the PDF files the Hawaii Department of Agriculture offers on their Farmers’ Market Listing.

It was so amazing for us to see many shops or shopping centers had their presence on Twitter or Facebook advertised like Kukui Grove Center - we’re not used to see that in Germany (yet)
