Today we joined a Tweetup in Kahului, HI and we had so much fun! We knew some of the “Twitterati” (guess it’s a German label for people who twitter as I didn’t read or hear it in Hawaii so far) via Twitter and the only one we had known for a longer time than for some weeks was Roxanne Darling (but also only online). So we knew no one in real life and were quite excited.
You all were so friendly! From the beginning on we felt very comfortable and heartly welcomed. Thank you all so much!
I’m a little bit late writing about it. But we were too early at the Tweetup as Jen Russo wrote :-)
We joked in the first five minutes that the tweet up was running on MauiTime because our German visitors (@hawaiitwentyten) were the first to show up at 11:50 (five minutes early).
We are glad we gave you a reason for joking :-)
We had a lot of talking and were busy to notice all the names and Twitter nicks. Thanks to Jen for posting all the Twitter nicks and names and for writing this excellent post. After all I almost forgot to take some pictures but at least I took some with my iPhone:

Tomorrow we will leave Maui and continue our trip to paradise on Oahu. But gladfully someone invented Twitter so we all can stay in touch :-)
Originally I registered hawaiitwentyten on Twitter and Tumblr for this vacation but I will continue using these accounts to keep you informed. Be asured some day you will read some very frustrated tweets about German weather…
Mahalo!
