Many of the fascinating landscapes in Hawai’i are located in the Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park (page on Wikipedia): volcanoes, lava, fern forests or a “birdscape” like Kipuka Puaulu (a bird park, although most of them you won’t see but only hear).
You may even have a look from Thomas A Jaggar Museum in the evening to the lava glow emerging from the Halemaumau crater or see the lava pouring into the ocean.
