What's up in Germany? Swing, Jazz and Blues!
This summer is hot (right now at least) and one topic rules the conversations in Germany: World Cup. But besides this there are a bunch of events in every region here. Winter is really cold and rainy here so people now use every occasion to go to festivals in summer.

This picture showing blooming cherry trees and dandelions is a little gift from both of us. I (Frank) took this picture last year’s springtime in our valley. Whenever you come to Germany try to make it in springtime or summer - in fall and winter it’s far too cold.

I took this Aloha Friday Photo on April 24, 2010 at Lokelani Garden Cottage on Kaua’i. Every now and then one of those guests suddenly appeared and then disappeared some moments later on the Lanai or in the rooms. We liked those guests :-)

WatchRemember the Arizona - I was at the USS Arizona Memorial in 1997 and - together with my wife @manuela - in 2005. This year we didn’t make it although we went to the Pacific Aviation Museum and the USS Missouri. Next time we will go there again.
At least we saw Pearl Harbor from aboard our seaplane.

Lokelani Garden Cottage, Kaua'i
From April 24 until April 30, 2010 we stayed at Lokelani Garden Cottage on Kaua’i. It is a lovely B&B accommodation with a lot of plants and trees in the garden. We only had a five minutes walk to a trail on to the top of the Sleeping Giant. The trail itself took us approx. 45 minutes to go up.
