Ahukini State Recreational Pier, Kaua'i
We started our Trip to Paradise on the island of Kaua’i (actually we had a one night stop at Ohana Airport Hotel, Honolulu). After we had arrived on Kaua’i on 4/24/10 our first stop was at Ahukini State Recreational Pier:
Ahukini Pier is situated at mouth of the Hanamaulu Stream. It consists of a cement pier with a wooden walkway located where the stream meets the Pacific Ocean.

User Profiles for iPad applications?
I read “I’ve Changed My Mind About The iPad” (via @HolgerSchmidt) and it’s obvious: the iPad is supposed to be a family owned gadget (at least in some households…). As a matter of fact part of the deal with my wife to buy an iPad was she would use it too - she’s my CFO :-)
But the iPad has no user administration AFAIK. So I would like some app developers to...

Manoa Falls (thanks to @SheilaBeal)
Yesterday we went to Manoa Falls, Honolulu for a hike. It took us 1 hour to go up from the parking (we did pictures, watched birds…) and about half an hour to go back. Sometimes the trail is slippery and steep so you should be prepared with good footwear.

Mahalo to the ultimate "Social Media iPad...
As some might know I (Frank) considered buying an iPad here in Hawaii. There are three Apple Retail Stores in Hawaii. Royal Hawaiian told me they have none but put me on a list. They told me there are non available at all in Hawaii. @Shane told me on Tuesday Mac made easy in Kailua might have on - no, they don’t. They told me too every store is short on iPads.

Oahu by Seaplane, Pacific Aviation Museum, USS...
Once again we had a terrific day. We had a seaplane flight, went to Pacific Aviation Museum and USS Missouri. Then we enjoyed Book & Music Festival in Honolulu where we met Mailani (picture). She had a performance there and we had the opportunity to talk with her after her show. Finally we had dinner at Lucy’s Grill & Bar in Kailua.

Now Hawaiitwentyten has its own domain:

As I will continue using this blog even after our Hawaii vacation in 2010 will end I thought it would be a good idea to have an own domain. All links pointing to the old Tumblr subdomain will automatically redirect to the new domain and the respective article.

Thank you all for this wonderful #MauiTweetup
Today we joined a Tweetup in Kahului, HI and we had so much fun! We knew some of the “Twitterati” (guess it’s a German label for people who twitter as I didn’t read or hear it in Hawaii so far) via Twitter and the only one we had known for a longer time than for some weeks was Roxanne Darling (but also only online). So we knew no one in real life and were quite excited.

This evening we went to the Maui Theatre for the show of ‘Ulalena. The show narrates the history of Hawai’i, their people and their culture. @PacificAviation Pacific Aviation Museum helps us...
We are planning to go to the Pacific Aviation Museum next week. They already provided us with the hint to book the tickets online to prevent standing in a long queue. Before booking the tickets I wanted to know if I had to print something. So I just wrote on their wall on Facebook. Less than an hour later they helped us. A PDF on the phone will do it:

Snorkeling with Lani Kai
Today we went snorkeling with Lani Kai. Check-in for the morning trip was 6.45am and the trip was from 7am to noon. We enjoyed the trip very much. There are offers from others but we had a trip with them five years ago and we were very satisfield. Haleakala - House of the Sun
Some amazing pictures of sunrise at Haleakala Summit. This morning we got up at 2:30am and drove to Haleakala National Park. At about 5 am we arrived at Haleakala Summit. Haleakala Summit is 3055 m above sea level. Sunrise was 5:41am. It was really cold but after the sun had rised it quickly became warmer.

Aloha für die Twitterkatzen (Aloha for the...
Many greetings and a very heartly Aloha for the Twittercats. “Twittercats” is a community of German speaking cats from Germany and Austria twittering almost all day and night long. Some rumors say they don’t twitter not by themself but instead their can opener twitter in behalf of them - we don’t believe that :-)

Wailuku First Friday
Yesterday we arrived on Maui. This is our first Bead & Breakfast accomodation with Internet access. So I scanned blog posts and voila: Liza had just blogged about “First Friday Wailuku – May 2010”. As we like to do things spontaneously we drove to Wailuku and enjoyed our First Friday Wailuku :-)
